2. Reclamation: The second stage is the Modification of Christianity. In Diasporacle Orifice, a body of digital prints from 2001-2002, Christ makes his triumphant second coming. Annoyed at the baggage tied to his name and determined to reclaim his legacy, he makes the decision to return as a pigeon. Pigeon Christ reclaims the power and mysticism of Christianity through a new system of iconography. Through visceral miracles and rituals he separates himself from the posers using his name to advance human agendas.
